Highlanders to face rival Trojans in third matchup of season

The Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders will face the Harrison Trimble Trojans this Saturday at McKenna Field.

This will be the third time the two teams face each other. The first time they played, the Highlanders lost with 4 goals against and only 2 for, but came out victorious in their second matchup with a 5-3 win. Face-off man Carson Payne says the game shouldn’t be taken lightly, due to the Trojans being the leading team in the league. “With our whole team attending we’re at a huge advantage this game.” Says Austin Allen, stating that when the Highlanders were defeated, some of the team’s best players were missing. With the Trojans missing one of their top performing players due to injury, it will be an interesting game.

Riley Nixon (19), Logan Girouard (4), and Quentin MacMillan (20), battle for the first draw against the PEI Islanders.

Games will run all day at McKenna Field, the Highlander’s home field, with all six teams from the league playing as well as a visiting team from Prince Edward Island.
